Lately I've been sewing up some projects for/with a friend of mine. See 2nd of 2 frocks.
I was working on a Simplicity pattern that he found at the thrift store and I'm not sure why I was reading the entire pattern directions. I do follow sewing directions but I really skim the important parts these days. Sometimes I even change up the order if I see an easier way.
